AS someone who was present at the meeting between David Lock MP and members of the district council, I wish to make my observations in reply to the MP's version of events (War of Words, October 12 issue).
I can certainly testify that the MP did indeed offer to "ease off" on the council if councillors were prepared to "ease off" him over the downgrading of the hospital.
I can assure readers that Independent Kidderminster Hospital and Health Concern councillors have no intention at all of "easing off" on the hospital or other health matters.
At the same time we shall continue with the other groups in our administration to serve the community in a well-run council, providing excellent services.
JOHN GORDON
Chairman
Independent Kidderminster Hospital
and Health Concern
