CHESS: Grandmaster Keith Arkell has agreed to perform a simultaneous exhibition against Kidderminster Chess Club players as part of their centenary celebrations.

Club secretary Maurice Bissell said he was delighted Derby-based Arkell, who played in the Worcestershire County League early in his career, had agreed to visit.

Kidderminster gained a 5-1 home success against recently-promoted Rugeley in Division One of the Wolverhampton League.
