GOLF: Silver Division player Val Bow won the overall October Medal at Wyre Forest Golf Club with Margaret Ellor taking the bronze medal.
Result: Val Bow 93 gross 17 handicap 76 nett, Margaret Ellor 106-28-78, Jean Whale 110-30-80, Sue Giblin 113-29-84 countback.
Follow-on Medal competition: Pat Bowater 123-44-79.
Bow and her partner Jo Crow won the final of the Ladies Matchplay Pairs Summer Knockout, beating Paula Barrie and Lin McCoy four and three.
