PUPILS, staff and parents at Ebrington and Chipping Campden's St James's Primary Schools found a novel way of raising money for a charity close to their hearts last week.
Everyone involved with the two schools has been keen to help Cheltenham's Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Charity (LINC) since it emerged this year that one of the teachers Julie Penny was suffering from acute myloid leukaemia.
They succeeded in encircling the school at Ebrington with metres and metres of pennies last Thursday afternoon and hope to be able to announce how much they raised after half term.
