WORCESTERSHIRE'S Rover workers were rewarded for their efforts when West Midlands MEP Neena Gill visited the Longbridge plant.
The Rover-owning MEP dubbed her 75 model "the best car" she had ever driven.
"When I got my new Rover 75 I was so pleased with its quality that I wanted to see for myself how it was made and above all, meet the men and women who made it," she said.
"Meeting the workers was a real pleasure for me.
"It was an opportunity to see the quality of work which goes on at Longbridge.
"But above all, it was an opportunity to meet the people who will make MG Rover the success it deserves to be."
Ms Gill was greeted by Gordon Poynter, communications and public affairs director for the Longbridge plant and Graham Murray of the engineering professionals' union, MSF.
