HI-TECH Bromsgrove councillors agreed to allocate £25,000 to cover the cost of putting the Local Plan map on the Internet.
At last Monday's meeting of Bromsgrove District Council's planning and highways committee, an officer explained with changing technology the plan could not be printed in the traditional way.
By digitally linking information about the plan via the Internet and electronically producing it, it would be cheaper in the long run.
The moves would mean the Local Plan would be accessible to officers, councillors and the public.
It would also mean it had fulfilled the Modernising Government White Paper focusing on public access to information.
