THE October meeting was well attended and president Pat Radford welcomed members and visitors.
The speaker Tony Caldwell enthralled members with words, pictures and music about his walk from Robin Hood's Bay to St Bees Head - Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk in reverse!
November's meeting is entitled "The Thrust Engine and Land Speed Record" when speaker Glyn Bowscher will talk about motor racing on Pendine Sands, South Wales.
Everyone with an interest in Wales or in motor racing is welcome.
The meeting is on Friday, November 17, and this and subsequent meetings will be held at the Windmill Community Centre, Ryegrass Lane, Walkwood (off Windmill Drive).
The society's concert with Rhos Orpheus Male Choir, guest soloist Val Burroughs, will be on Saturday, March 24, at 7pm at the Palace Theatre.
Tickets available from the box office from November.
