A COUNSELLING service which offers support to Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa residents who have lost a loved one could be forced to close.
Bromsgrove Bereavement Counselling Service has served both towns for 20 years offering confidential advice from a specially trained counsellor to help people come to terms with their loss.
The charity needs new members to join its committee.
Without it the charity is non-constitutional and cannot continue to provide a helpline for the hundreds of bereaved folk who benefit from having someone to talk to.
The committee meets five times a year on Thursday nights.
Counselling service manager Sue Wood said: "We have an excellent team of counsellors who give their time voluntarily and they are trained and supervised by a professional tutor.
"But our management committee has become depleted to the point of near-collapse. We are in desperate need of new blood."
If you are interested in joining the team call Sue on 01384 372987.
