MARTIN Clinton (Evening News, October 18) should be supported in his efforts to open a BMX track on land at Perdiswell.
Why should a minority and declining sport such as football be given priority?
One only has to look at current national figures provided by Sport England to see that newer sports need the full support and funding at council level.
One look at the number of BMX bikes on our pavements everyday only confirms the statements made by Martin.
