IN reply to Robin Lunn's letter (Advertiser, October 4) I agree that it's a shame library users have to walk either to Redditch Town Hall or through the Kingfisher Centre to find public toilets.
Sadly, the library building was not designed with the standard of public toilet needed.
Worcestershire's newer libraries, such as Kidderminster, have public toilets and the new library being planned for Worcester will be.
Unfortunately, the staff toilets don't meet the requirements for public access such as Health and Safety, size, number of cubicles and disabled access.
I would like to stress that if library users find themselves in distress, they have only to ask and one of my staff will accompany them and unlock the toilet for them.
