BROMSGROVE Hockey Club's Juniors have picked up this year where they left off last season with some impressive displays at all levels.
Four lads -- Mark Gormley, Rammy Arafa, Mike Perrott and Patrick Ebbutt -- teamed up with friends from Old Hales in an under 15 festival of hockey. They played excellently, with Mark scoring netting as they finished third out of six.
Last weekend a young under 14 squad took part in a festival seven's at Kidderminster. They beat Stourport B 3-1 with goals from Bevan Edwards, Nick Frizzell and Anna Perrott; defeated Kidderminster 2-1, with Bevan Edwards and Lindsay Hyde netting; lost 3-1 to Stourport A with Zaid Al-Nakeeb scoring and drew 0-0 with Barford Tigers with Kirsty Gormley, Matt Raby and Ben Dudley playing well.
This great start promises much, especially with so many talented players yet to make their competitive debut.
Sunday morning sessions arranged by Sally Davies and Clive Robinson are drawing in lots of players who all show great potential.
If you want to join the junior set up, come along to Bromsgrove School on Sunday mornings between 9.45am and 11am.
