AN exhilarating display by hat-trick hero Jimmy Harris was the highlight of what was at times a stormy encounter. Harris' performance had class stamped all over it and showed that there is a place for thought and invention in the hurly-burly of Sunday League football.
Crabmill pressed from the kick off and had Town back-pedalling early on, being rewarded with the lead when Marshall Scholes hit a beauty into the roof of the net from 25 yards.
The home side had the better of the first half, but Town upped their game in the second with Harris orchestrating most moves. Town equalised when Darren Turk nodded home from close range and Harris gave the visitors the lead with a free kick from 20 yards. When the tie seemed won, Crabmill equalised in the dying minutes. In extra time Town were well on top with Harris converting a penalty and wrapping things up from close range from Turk's pass.
