Elgar Property Care has successfully hit targets set by the Housing Corporation.

A specialist arm of the Partnership Housing Group, it provides on-going maintenance for more than 5,000 homes in Malvern and Ledbury provided by Elgar Housing Association.

The Housing Corporation set a 95 per cent target for emergency repairs to be completed within a set timescale, with Elgar recording a figure of 97 per cent. It also hit the 90 per cent target for routine repairs and exceeded the same target for urgent repairs by two per cent.

Elgar Property Care has expanded its workforce to 23 and has also undertaken outside work for other housing associations, Malvern Town Council and private companies.

"Last year we undertook more than 13,500 jobs, which is the highest number of jobs we've undertaken since Property Care joined Elgar," said executive director Rod Rhodes. "Ninety-two per cent of customers who have returned the customer response form we leave said the level of service from the individual who carried out the work was good, as was the workmanship."
