GEORGE Rooney admitted the 1-1 stalemate with Oldbury United in the FA Cup first qualifying round on Saturday was the team's worst performance since he took charge of Bromsgrove Rovers in June.
Two second half injury time goals saw the two sides replay at Oldbury last night for the right to entertain Stourport Swifts in the next round.
But Rovers repeated that dismal showing in a 2-0 defeat and Rooney will be fuming, particularly after his comments on Saturday's match.
He said: "I can't imagine us playing any worse than we did on Saturday.
"It was a crazy game and we were poor from start to finish. We could easily have gone out so I was relieved really.
"Oldbury deserved the draw but we just couldn't get going.
"It was our worst performance so far and surprised me after we played so well at Cinderford the previous week.
"I just hope that's given them a kick where it hurts because it gave me a jolt. It was just unreal."
