THERE was disappointment for Upton Youth Band when last weekend's marching bands competition at Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent, was called off because of the fuel crisis.
The band had been working extra hard for the competition, hoping to qualify for the British Youth Bands Association final in Birmingham next month. Members are hoping this weekend's competition in Gloucester will go ahead.
