DEFENDER Jeremy Carr is poised to make his debut for Dr Martens League Western Division leaders Evesham United in tomorrow's crunch home clash with Hinckley United (3pm).
Manager Phil Mullen has snapped up the centre-half from Shepshed Dynamo.
He hopes a new face will help inspire his side to maintain their 100 per cent league record after two cup defeats.
Mullen said: "Over the last two games we have played well but just haven't got the rub of the green.
"But if you had seen us training earlier in the week, you would see that we had put that to the back of our minds."
But he thinks fourth-placed Hinckley will pose their stiffest test so far. "We are under no illusions that it will be a tough game, but we will make it difficult for them."
Carr is the only addition to the squad beaten in the FA Cup at Gloucester last week.
Evesham (from): Beattie, Smith, Pendleton, Rogers, Powell, Taylor, Wolsey, McCartan, Bowen, Roberts, Preedy, Brown, Parmenter, Licata, West, Stephenson, Carr.
