REPLYING to Mr Fisher, the gentleman who is a horse racing enthusiast, I would point out that in Worcester, the four main sporting venues are New Road, St George's Lane, Sixways and Pitchcroft.
Unlike the other three, which exist for the furtherance of one specific interest, Pitchcroft is also an amenity serving the public at large.
Therefore roads, ditches, whatever, which may be to the advantage of horse-racing at Pitchcroft, but which will spoil the area as a general leisure area, cannot be tolerated.
