AMERICA beckons for Philomusic of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire but there is time for a concert in Kempsey before they go.
St Mary's Church will host the concert, on Saturday, September 30, at 7.30pm, where there will be a chance to hear what the Americans will shortly enjoy.
The mixed programme includes music by Parry, Elgar, Stanford, Handel, Rutter, Vaughan Williams and Purcell.
Next month, the group will be crossing the Atlantic on tour, with destinations including Gloucester and Worcester, Massachusetts.
They will also be hoping to break the world record for the concert at the highest altitude during the flight. The record is currently held by Dursley Male Voice Choir, from Gloucestershire.
