GLASGOW Phoenix Choir is looking forward to its 50th anniversary next year but before that it has a performance to do in Ledbury.
The choir will be joining forces with the Hereford Police Male Voice Choir for the concert on Sunday (September 24) at St Michael and All Angels Church at 7pm.
It will be renewing acquaintances for the choirs, who performed together in Hereford last year and more recently in Scotland.
The Phoenix Choir "rose out of the ashes" of the Glasgow Orpheus Choir after it disbanded in 1951 after 50 years.
For the Ledbury concert, each choir will perform its own programme and then join together for Rhythm of Life. Tickets are £7.50, including wine, from the Three Counties Bookshop, Ledbury, Ledbury Books and Maps or Jim Baskerville on 01432 269560.
