BARNARDS GREEN 1ST XI v
BROMYARD 1ST XI
An hour was lost as the pitch was very wet which reduced each innings to 41 overs.
Martin Heaton lost the toss and was asked to bat with runs always going to be difficult. They lost three wickets for only 25 runs but a fine stand by Kevin Golder (31), who played with a great deal of maturity, and Tim Clarke, added 36 runs.
Clarke was bowled by Bullock and Jason Young (25) joined Golder to put on 28 runs. When these two departed the Green's runs dried up and they finished on 101-8.
Bromyard made a solid start with Bevan (24no) and Bullock (24). Bullock was well caught by Tim Price behind of the bowling of Young. Leighton (22) came to the wicket and scored freely to put the visitors on the way to victory. Leighton was dismissed by Young and M Bullock (17) joined Bevan to see them home by seven wickets.
The Green wish to thank P & S Tools Ltd for sponsoring the game.
