GOALKEEPER Tim Clarke is set to return for Kidderminster Harriers' tough Nation-wide League Division Three trip to unbeaten Cardiff City tomorrow (3pm).

The experienced 32-year-old has been back in full training for over a week following a knee operation and is in line to take over from Stuart Brock.

Clarke has missed Harriers' last six matches while Brock has performed in the last four games with a broken bone in his right hand.

Aggborough boss Jan Molby said: "We have to take everything into consideration. The fact that Clarke hasn't played a reserve game, but he's fit and available, and that Brock still has a broken bone in his hand.

"Clarke has trained without any effect to his knee so he'll be in contention."

Front-runner Ian Foster is still battling to overcome hamstring trouble, but is hoping to be fit in time for Harriers home match against Blackpool a week tonight. Also sidelined with a hamstring injury is defender Steve Pope.

One player hoping to impress against Bobby Gould's men is Cardiff-born striker Tony Bird who has yet to open his acc-ount for Harriers.

Bird played for the Bluebirds and scored 13 goals in 75 league appearances before moving to Barry in 1996. The following year he was transferred for £40,000 to Swansea.

Molby said: "He's obviously looking forward to the game. He's buzzing and it would be a nice place for him to get his first goal. Once he gets one hopefully there will be a few more to follow.

"He's trying to score and he's working hard. I thought he was one of our better players last Saturday against Leyton Orient when he was unlucky not to get himself a goal.

"He caused them a lot of problems and won an awful lot of headers, especially in the first half.

"It would be nice for him to get a goal tomorrow. He'll certainly be up for it. Obviously he will have to keep his calm and discipline which is going to be very important as, along with myself, we'll get a warm welcome because of our links with the enemy Swansea City."

Following Harriers' defeat of Orient on Saturday, third-placed Cardiff are now the only unbeaten outfit in the division.

Molby said: "They are going to be a little bit like the Rushden & Diamonds of the Third Division. They have spent big money recently and have got a lot of money at their disposal. It doesn't guarantee you anything but they are certainly one of the bigger clubs.
