DESPITE the 30mph speed limit through parts of the village and the recent fuel shortage, vehicles still exceed this limit most of the time.
People travelling along the main roads were going noticeably slower while fuel was almost unobtainable but the road through Bushley is still treated like a race track. I don't know what we have to do to make people take notice. Please all drivers slow up.
For the first time, as far as I know, our Harvest Festival Songs of Praise will not be held on a Sunday. The date for this service is Wednesday, October 4 at 7pm and it will be followed by a simple ploughman's super to be held in the Village Hall.
