AN Ombersley woman is to head for Caribbean sun, sea and sand after scooping first place in an Evening News competition.
Jean Charlwood was one of more than 1,000 readers who entered the contest to win an all-inclusive holiday for two in Barbados, where shopping trips, waterskiiing and champagne brunches are among the attractions awaiting her.
She will be travelling to Sam Lord's Castle Resort in the town of St Phillip, having been chauffeured to London in a Mercedes by Worcester firm Knight Executive Travel.
Readers had to collect 12 tokens and answer questions about Barbados posed in the newspaper.
Mrs Charlwood has until June next year to take her week's holiday on the sun-drenched island resort.
