There were 550 riders lined up at the start including French Tour de France ace Laurent Jalabert.
Riders carried a trans-ponder to record their times and Chanin finished in six hours 45 minutes and 43 seconds for a Silver Award.
The weekly club run was well attended last Sunday by 20 riders.
