THE sky is the limit for local disabled people now Stratford Gliding Club has adapted a training aircraft and facilities.
Thanks to a Sports Lottery group grant of £29,000 to the club and £700 from Stratford District Council, the club was able to adapt the Snitterfield headquarters to make the sport accessible to all. Tim Marshall MBE, a member of Sport England and a disabled sportsman launched the new facilities, which include a new winch, on Saturday. "This money means we are one of the leading gliding clubs in the UK offering training to people with disabilities, " said club chairman Geoff Butler.
