STOURPORT Athletic Club members acquitted themselves well in the triple mile challenge organised by Halesowen AC.
The series consisted three races on consecutive evenings, starting with a one-mile road race followed by a mile hill climb and a mile track race.
First home for the club in third position overall was Neil Williams, with times of 4 minutes 32 seconds (course record) 6-26 and 4-28 (course record), giving an aggregate time of 15-26.
In fourth position was new member Gary Corbett with times of 4-54, 6-35 and 4-51. Next was Kevin Green in seventh position with 5-03, 6-54 and 4-58.
The evergreen John Gibbs took the veteran over-50 prize with 5-40 for the road mile, 7-59 for the hill climb and 5-27 for the track mile.
