PARISH COUNCIL: Cllr McDonald reported on an incident related to speeding in Salters Lane. The police were informed. Clerk to write to beat officer R Storr to set early morning speed traps in Salters Lane and the A4538 through Upper Moor. Skip Dates are now shown on the parish notice board. Although the skip was full over the Bank Holiday, other items for disposal had been left around the skip. A notice is to be placed on the skip in future in the hope of deterring this practice.The chairman reported having spoken to residents regarding overhanging trees-branches in Bridge Street. These have now been cut back. The pot holes in Salters Lane have now been filled after some pressure from the council

There were no objections for planning consent on the following:- Plan W00/1084 - Replacement 3 Bedroom detached dwelling - Upper Moor - Mr. J. Massingham Plan W00/1102 - Wyre Piddle ByPass 3 year extension Worcs CC. Plan W00/1112 - Extension for Study/Playroom area at rear of property Salters Lane - Mr. Hawtree Planning Application W001053 has been made for a Bungalow Extension - Lower Moor - Mr & Mrs Osman.

Cllr Gordon was concerned that the council was no further forward in completing the footpaths and lighting on the village green. The clerk will write to the legal department at County Hall as the parish council has had no response to the council's numerous calls to Albany. The clerk reported on the street lamps No. 1 at Upper Moor - out for three months plus and No. 20 in Salters Lane out for three weeks. The difficulty was getting Pirelli and MEB together. The clerk has written to the lighting manager at County Hall for assistance in this matter.

The chairman and Cllr Gordon were concerned at the lack of control at the waste tip regarding the various types of asbestos waste. The chairman to voice this matter at the next liaison group meeting.

Cllr McDonald spoke of his concern with regard to a rolling programme to landscape the site and intends to follow up programmes set out. The chairman also voiced his concern with regard to the exit plan of the site. Although this would be a number of years hence, he felt that plans should start to be put in place. Cllr Gordon was still awaiting information on the availability of a possible 100 trees for Lower Moor in preparation of the bypass. Cllr Gordon raised the matter of the village hall accounts. The clerk reported the accounts for the year to December1999 had now been now been signed off. Cllr Hall reported that waste bins were not being emptied again and that the waste bin on the green in Maytree Road had still not been repositioned. The clerk to write to Wychavon District Council. The next meeting will be held on October 5.
