PERSHORE completed a successful season with victory over Droitwich Spa on Saturday to collect a maximum 24 points to clinch fourth spot in the Worcestershire County Cricket League.
After losing an early wicket, the vastly experienced John Brookes (45) and the exciting young talent of Liam Ridings (44) put on 108 runs in 38 overs in very difficult conditions.
The remaining batsmen found runs hard to get, with only David Corfield reaching double figures as the visitors totalled 167-9 from their 50 overs.
The home side never came to terms with the variable bounce and struggled after losing the first five wickets cheaply.
Lea Hawkes produced a match winning performance of 7-68 to bring his season's tally to 48 league wickets as Spa were dismissed for 122.
Evesham were consigned to bottom spot after another heavy defeat. They were shot out for a paltry 88 in reply to Pedmore's imposing 283-2.
