ALCESTER and Ragley batsmen Peter Hedges and Andrew Haines rewrote the club's record books after they put together a magnificent stand of 293 in the final match of the 3D Cotswold Hills League season at Twyning.
The pair came together after the club's second string had lost two wickets for just eight runs and they proceeded to hammer the home attack to all parts of the ground as they rattled up an awesome 301-2.
Haines hit 151 while his partner ended unbeaten on 141 before the hosts were shot out for 114 in reply.
