I AM probably one of many people who are ashamed of Kidderminster.

My job entails travelling around the outskirts of Kidderminster so, of course, I get to see how other towns look.

Every other town this year had hanging baskets, planters, and islands looking really pretty.

In Kidderminster on the other hand, they just cut the long grass - no planters, no hanging baskets.

Bewdley looked lovely, and people who live there must be proud of their town. OK, so we have the carpet bed on the bank below the Glades - wow!

What I don't understand is why everyone who lives in or comes to visit Kidderminster has to pay 65p to park for two hours. What do they do, or have they done, with all this money, to help this town?

Halesowen is under Dudley Council and when I park there I pay 40p for two hours, and I have seen them putting up newly designed bus stops, with seating and good sheltering from bad weather. What has Kidderminster done to help the people who live here?

I feel the Horsefair part of Kidderminster is such an eyesore. The picture you showed in the paper made me ashamed to live in this town.

I hope the local MP is going to do something.

With all the wrongdoers who commit crimes in the town, surely some of them should be doing community service and paying in some way, giving back something to the town?
