DESPITE the fuel shortage only one team failed to travel for last weekend's matches.

Champions Bretforton VIC got their league campaign off to a winning start as goals from Boulton and Mitchell gave them the points at Tewk-esbury Town.

A double strike from Will Arkell gave Guiting the points at Bredon despite being reduced to ten men when their goalkeeper was dismissed for handling outside the box.

After two disappointing results, the return of Paul Keyte inspired Blockley Sports to victory over Evesham WMC Reserves in Division Two.

The prolific marksman netted a hat-trick with Burrows hitting two with the Workies replying through Fleming (2), Spencer and Hirons.

Goals from Williams and Slade gave Red Horse victory at Fairfield Flyers. Attwood, Fryer and Heeks were on target as Peopleton won at Badsey Rec and goals from Churchill and Lee Tustin gave Offenham Rovers an excellent win at Hospital Club for whom Gib-bons replied.

In Division Three, Ashton's Richard Basham scored all four of his side's goals as they won at Bury, while Wickham-ford Trumpeteers won at Stratford Yates with both Swann and Westmacott netting hat-tricks. Stuart Pocknell scored twice for the hosts.

Broadway United led at half time against Swan Sports with goals from Jordan and Tho-mas with Deacon replying for the visitors. Second half goals from Cook and Dickinson kept up the Swan's excellent start.

Hand (2) and Hill were on target for Willersey as they overcame Plum Tree.

Fourth Division Ambassador continued their perfect start to the season with a comfortable win at Tewkesbury Town Reserves. James (2), Jones and Taylor were on target.

Salford Rovers have started strongly, their latest win was at Servicemen's with goals from Webb, Green, Taylor and Payne.

Geoff Bara hit two as Mickle-ton Res overcame Ashton's second string and a Jamie Bostock double helped Broad-way's second team to victory at Crown Athletic.

There were wins in the Worc-ester Infirmary Cup for Upton Snodsbury, Ilmington Ran-gers and Anchor Fladbury.
