HAVING supported the National Lottery from the beginning, under the nave impression that I would be helping worthy causes, I am appalled at the millions of pounds given to the Dome by the Lottery Commissioners. This has deprived many small local projects of financial assistance.
In future I will play the local Hospices Lottery, which benefits St. Richard's Hospice and the Acorn Children's Hospice, both receiving the profits on a 50/50 basis.
Anyone who, like myself, is disenchanted with the National Lottery might like to contact The Hospices Lottery, 2nd Floor, 7 Mealcheapen Street, Worcester WR1 2DH or ring 01905 723503. It only costs £1 per week and you might win £1000!!
