A 16 feet by five and a half feet embroidered hanging depicting scenes from Biblical stories was the outstanding exhibit in the Redditch School of Art Exhibition held in the schoolrooms at the end of last week.
It was made by a member of Beoley Women's Institute and will be given to Beoley Church.
Paintings in oil and water colours, hand-bags, toilet cases in leatherwork embroidery, woodcarvings and beautiful polished cabinets were other features which were a credit to both the tutorial powers of the school staff and the skill of the students.
