A PHONE box outside Lickey Post Office used by drunks and people performing indecent acts has been removed after an 18-month battle.
Post office owner Gill Byatt campaigned for the box to be taken away after it was used as a lookout during three robberies at her premises.
Gill said the kiosk, in Old Birmingham Road, was also used by drunken youths and condoms and pornographic magazines were found inside.
Some residents believed that as one of the few remaining old-style red phone boxes, it should be kept but, because the phone box was hardly used, British Telecom knocked it down last week.
