BARNT Green villagers have welcomed a new minister after spending more than a year without one.
The Rev Peter Worth has moved from Foleshill Baptist Church, in Coventry, to take over Barnt Green Baptist Church.
It is quite a change coming from one of the poorest parishes in the country to the more affluent countryside of Barnt Green but he is ready for the challenge.
This is the latest change in Mr Worth's life as his wife, Cathryn, has just given birth to their daughter, Olivia Grace.
He said: "My main aim is to build up the community in Barnt Green because it has not had a minister for a long time and there is a lot of work to be done."
A special induction service was held at the church, in Bittell Road.
