INTER fresh from a 7-1 victory last week scored in the first minute when Colin Lancett latched on to a through ball and volleyed past Gladwin in the Bell goal.

BELL INN 98 6, INTERMILOKAL 2

This shook the home side into action and with new signing Paul Ledbury instrumental in the centre of midfield they took control and began to put pressure on the Bell end. With 15 minutes gone last season's top scorer Darren Cooke side-footed the ball into the empty net after great work on the left flank by Tony Gibb.

New signing Paul Fletcher rose to powerfully head in the Bell's second on the half hour and Cooke then made it three just before half time when he pounced on a defensive error to tap in. This after a great dribble and pass from the Bell Inn's youngest player Luke Ledbury.

The second half started in bizarre fashion as 'Man of the Match' Tony Reynolds scored one of the quickest ever hat-tricks witnessed at the ground. His first came after just two seconds of the restart as he blasted the ball in from the kick off, which gained him the prestigious honour of having the first Champagne Moment of the season. Then he scored a blistering free kick from way out and with just 50 minutes on the clock he tapped in his third and the Bell's sixth after a speedy run from Jim Argent.

Inter came back into the game and scored their second after Phil Lancett was brought down in the box by Steve Manns. The player coolly stepped up to take the spot kick himself.

Gladwin in the Bell goal then made a string of superb saves and was unlucky to be awarded the infamous 'Duffer of the Match' award.

On Sunday, The Bell play hosts to Talbot Head and will pick from an unchanged squad. Players should meet at 10am at Bosbury.

Post match entertainment will be provided in the Bell by local three piece band Golden slipper. To find out more then visit the Bell Inn 98's web site at www.thesoccersite.co.uk/bellinn98.
