TOGETHER with many other residents of the Newland Road area of Droitwich, I am outraged by Councillor Keith Rogers' remarks regarding the "waste of money" spent on an independent survey of microwave emissions from the Yew Tree Water Tower (Evening News, Tuesday, September 5).
It is only by the actions of Councillor Mike Barrett, and others, who insisted that an independent survey be undertaken, that we now know that the emissions are below international safety levels.
Coun Rogers' remarks are unhelpful. He would better serve the community he is supposed to represent by turning his anger on to those who are profiting from the many microwave transmitters.
