YOUNG people actively involved in community work could be in line for an award from the Malvern Hills Lions Club.
The Lions are to preparing accept entries for the 2001 Lions Youth Award, which is open to those aged 15 to 19 on March 1, 2001.
Candidates have previously included those in hospital radio, conservation and crime prevention.
The Malvern Hills representative will go forward to Midlands finals in January, the winner of which will receive £500 to spend on the community project they are involved in. They will also represent the Midlands in national finals, with a prize of a bursary of £1,000.

The Lions will also be running their 4th annual It's A Knockout event, on Wednesday, November 8. Around 400 people, with learning difficulties or disabilities, will attend the event, which is on the theme of 'space'.
The cost of this event, usually covered by business sponsorship, is about £1,800, and any assistance, personal or financial, or in the way of costumes and equipment on the theme is welcomed.
