IT'S unusual for a defender to be a team's leading goalscorer - but that's exactly the situation Bromsgrove Rovers are in.
Mark Burrow, a right-back by trade, claims the tag so far with three identical headers to shoot him ahead of Peter Sutton and Richard Burgess in the hot-shot stakes.
Rovers moved into the top half of the league when Burrow's bullet clinched a 1-0 win over Cinderford Town on Saturday.
Bromsgrove boss George Rooney said: "Mark was with me at Worcester City and I've been able to offer him first team football at Bromsgrove.
"He's a technically good all-round player and although he likes playing in midfield, he's most valuable to me at full-back.
"His goals have come from set pieces we've practised on the training ground but I don't want to give too much away!"
* Rovers entertain Oldbury on Saturday from 3pm in the FA Cup qualifying round one.
