MORE women than ever before are surviving breast cancer. Prompt treatment offers the best chance of a successful outcome.
The NHS Breast Screening Programme routinely calls women between the ages of 50 and 64 for a mammogram every three years. The Government has announced its commitment to extend the Screening Programme to women up to the age of 70, but this will take time to introduce.
In the meantime, we encourage all women called for screening to take up the offer and for all women over the age of 65 to take up their right to request a mammogram.
