Pershore II 61pts, Upton II 3

UPTON were weakened by the unavailability of some key players and arrived at Piddle Park with 14 players but still committed to fulfilling the fixture.

Heydon made the most of an overlap to score wide right in the first ten minutes following some good build up play by Stewart, Groves and Lane.

This was the catalyst for Pershore and by half time they were well in front following tries from Leon Jammal (2) and Jenkinson who followed up Randall's grubber kick.

Upton replied with a well-taken penalty kick after a late tackle, which followed some good visiting attacking play.

The stalwarts of the defence were Andy Baker and Jules whose tackle count in the game must have gone into treble figures.

Slick handling by Alex Jammal and 'Rabbit' after the restart saw Craig Wyldesmith go over for the first of his three tries. Randall added two more and proved a constant threat.

Jules, playing at blindside flanker, was outstanding and contributed 16 points from the boot, missing just one kick.
