WORCESTER City expect their Dr Martens League Premier Division match at Cambridge City on Saturday to go ahead despite the fuel crisis.
City say they will be able to make the 240-mile round trip to Cambridge after receiving assurances from Kempsey-based Astons Coaches, who supply their transport to away games. Secretary Steve Bond said: "We have been told by Astons that they will have enough fuel on Saturday and we will be attending the game."
Dr Martens League secretary Dennis Strudwick said: "We won't be making a blanket postponement, but if clubs can't fulfil a commitment, I would expect them to supply all the mitigating circumstances."
City have, however, cancelled tonight's training session to prevent players travelling long distances.
Worcester's reserves suffered a 3-0 home defeat against Telford United in the Central Conference last night.
