I AM usually a quiet and unassuming person.
However, I am shocked at the news of the Governm-ent's decision to pour money into the millennium project at a time whey my fellow townspeople are seeing the downgrading of their hospital which, indeed, was an excellent one.
My father, the late alderman W (Pat) Davis, was a member of the local town council at the time when the National Health Service was introduced.
How proud the British people were then.
I am deeply shocked that such a wonderful hospital, already established over the years, has been cutback.
The hospital served not only the local people, but other areas in the West Midlands. do you call this progress?
