EMERGENCY services in Stratford said its business as usual today (Tuesday) despite the tightening grip of the petrol crisis.
Rush-hour commuters who decided not to brave the log petrol queues across region last night were left disappointed as more and more filling stations hung up the empty signs this morning.
Deputy Chief Constable of Warwickshire police, Mick Brewer, said this morning that the police would be maintaining a normal service as the constabulary has its own supply of fuel.
Meanwhile, Warwickshire Trading Standards officers have warned hoarders not to store petrol in homes and garages for fear they could be creating a ticking time bomb.
Unless the situation changes today, the supply in Stratford is expected to run completely dry tomorrow.
