HOSPITALS and the emergency services maintain elaborate "major alert" plans to deal with situations involving multiple casualties.
Such catastrophes are unlikely but possible events. In view of recent reports (for example, Evening News Saturday September 2), how could this county cope? I doubt if those responsible could even respond to the question.
