A MILKMAN on his round was head-butted and kicked in an unprovoked attack.

Police are searching for the person who attacked David Friday as he did his round in Stourbridge Road, Bromsgrove, in the early hours of last Thursday morning.

Mr Friday was approached by the man, at around 3.30am, and asked about buying milk.

Without warning the man then head-butted Mr Friday before the two men became involved in a scuffle, which resulted in Mr Friday being knocked to the floor where he was kicked repeatedly.

The milkman was left with cuts and bruises and had to be checked out at Redditch's Alexandra Hospital.

The attacker is described as being white, about 5ft 10in tall, and of average build.

He was aged approximately between 20 and 24-years-old and he had brown short spiky hair, which was heavily highlighted with tints.

He was wearing a white V-neck T-shirt and khaki-coloured baggy trousers. He also had a broad Birmingham accent.

Following the attack he left in a dark-coloured hatchback in the direction of Fairfield.
