SNOOKER ace Dave Finbow was the victim of a vintage Whirlwind performance at the Newport Centre last night.
The 32-year-old Malvern professional had his hopes of qualifying for the final stage of the China Open dashed 5-0 by Jimmy White.
White, forced to play a qualifying round in both the China Open and Regal Welsh after slipping to No 18 in the world rankings, turned back the clock with a series of superb breaks.
The 38-year-old Londoner sealed the first frame with a run of 41 and followed that with breaks of 97, 78 and 63 to lead 4-0 at the interval.
Finbow looked like taking the fifth frame when he led 51-25 but a clearance of 34 to the pink enabled White to seal an impressive victory in just 63 minutes.
Finbow will be hoping for better luck today when he faces Chris Small in the final qualifying round of the Regal Welsh Open.
