BEWDLEY Rugby Club were soundly beaten 72-12 when they visited Old Hales who fielded a team mainly of first team and veteran players on Saturday.

Bewdley's only first-half score was a try by a winger borrowed from their hosts. Fly-half Brendon Bentley converted.

A clever move from a line-out gave Bewdley a second try from prop Darren Hughes at the start of the second half.

This Saturday Bewdley are at home to Cleobury.
