THE PETER Pan of pop music, Cliff Richard will be entertaining young fans from Evesham at his 60th birthday bash in London this Saturday.

The event, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, is being organised by the Royal Castle Lung Cancer Fund.

And among the die-hard enthusaists who have followed Cliff since his earliest days in the last 50s will be two 20-something Evesham fans.

Lee Redgewell, who is 20, and his friend Clare Floisand, aged 23, will be forking out about £600 each for travel, accommodation and tickets to be part of a group of eight setting off from Evesham.

In London they will enjoy a three-course meal, entertainment and tributes from the stars such as Ronan Keating and Elaine Paige.

The fund-raising event, which cost fans £3,000 for a table for ten, is worth every penny said Lee, a paid-up member of the fan club.

He said: "I can't wait, and I'll be staying overnight at the hotel. The great thing about Cliff is that he appeals to all the generations."
