A MAN has been banned from driving for two years after committing motoring offences on a Malvern road.

Worcester magistrates were told that Paul Standen was stopped by police as he drove an Austin Maestro in Barnards Green on Thursday, March 9.

Mike Cowley, prosecuting, said Standen was unable to produce his documents and was asked to take them into a police station.

"No documents were ever produced," said Mr Cowley.

Standen admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence, without insurance, without a test certificate, and failing to produce a driving licence.

The 31-year-old, of Tan House Lane, Malvern, represented himself in court.

Jobless Standen said he could give no reason why he had committed the offences.

Magistrates fined him £150. He was given eight penalty points for driving without insurance and three for driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence. He was ordered to pay £35 court costs.

He was banned from driving for two years under the totting up procedure.
